TV By Popular Demand— A State of the Union Drinking Game!

onGAWD! Politics are BORING! But drinking makes anything a party, and if you can feel like you are doing your civil service by paying attention and get slammed at the same time, then why not? Then, at work the next day, when everyone asks you why you look like shit, you can say, “I was crying because the State of the Union speech was just so BEAUTIFUL! No, I’m not still drunk! Why would you even think that?”
OK, here are the levels:
Every time the President insults your intelligence, take a shot of Coors!
Every time Nancy Pelosi either raises her eyebrows in disbelief or brings the sassy attitude, take a red, white and blue Jello shot!
Every time the Democrats applaud sarcastically, chug champagne until you burp!
Hopefully, by the end of the speech, you will look like Ted Kennedy in Cabo San Lucas during spring break!
Last one to puke wins!

actually i believe this is the official version: http://www.drinkinggame.us/
That is too complicated. How are you supposed to be able to keep track near the end?
I want to get drunk, not do calculus.
I'd say with those rules, 99% of participants will be unconscious before the D's even respond....
In the past my friends and I picked a few of the rules to exclude - some were too difficult, like the ted kennedy option, or medicare, or the bushisms (which hurt. a lot).
It's really about reading it beforehand and then remembering it. But I will say, eventually you end up not caring and just bottle-feeding yourself a fifth of the liquor of your choice until his in-bred face is off the screen. Then order pizza.
Besides, I suck at making jello shots. I always add too much everclear. And then making it multi-colored? Now *that* too complicated.
I think I need to go out and stock up on booze. Gonna be a long night. Thanks Ari.
I can play this game and remain perfectly sober, because God Almighty couldn't get me to watch the Motherfucker In Chief speak publicly.
For a good SOTU drinking game, check out Adam Felber's version.
