THIS Sunday, August 17 at 2:00pm, RIDE THE SLUT, dressed in corresponding
pimp/ho attire (whichever you prefer). People can get on the trolley at whatever
location they choose (remember, parking is free on Sunday, so I expect
no excuses!) and remain on for at least one full route (about 15
minutes) then stay on or disperse! The majority of us will likely board the bus at the 1st stop at Bank of America by the Westlake Center.

Anyone who has a camera is encouraged to bring it. Our goal
is to bring as many people out as possible and have lots and lots of
fun. People will embark and disembark at random locations and disperse
to wherever they wish. Some of us will be meeting up at the Hurricane at 1:00pm prior to our adventure.

This is NOT invite only. PLEASE SPREAD THE
WORD TO AS MANY OF YOUR FRIENDS, FRIENDS' FRIENDS, AQUAINTANCES,
NEIGHBORS, and STRANGERS as possible. To make this as entertaining as
I expect, we will want a very large SLUT presence! I look forward to
seeing you there and to whatever after-parties we come up with while we
ride together!!

2 good stories on Obama campaign in NYT today.

One is about NC voter registration and turnout drive with 6000 volunteers working on the ground right now. Great ! Kudos! Hope it's enough to win and blow away the GOP in NC. But: is it? Article notes he will need non-young, white, voters, too, at least 35% of them.

Second article is about replacing vague hope with more specifics on bread and butter issues. Ayup.

Oh by the way it's pretty weird if you call directory information in Seattle and ask for Obama for President, they say there is no such listing. You have to track them down through the Democratic State Central Commitee and the Democratic Coordinated Campaign then go to a big Peter Goldmark office then get directed around the corner to the real Obama office. And there's not even any huge banner or sign around visible from down the street.

Maybe one of you Obama die hards can go take care of that-- I am sure you are all volunteering at the local Obama campaign office, right? -- perhaps they should have a listing under "Obama for President" or something similar? So apolitical neophytes can find them ?

The only winner on the Civil forum shit that Reverend Warren put on was.....the pastor!!!! Lots of plugs for his book. The big loser? The Constitution of the United States, for all the talk Warren made about separation of church and state he ignored the clause that there shall be no religious test for office holders in the United States.

THAT was finally flushed down the toilet after both candidates used it for ass wipe. Expect violent religous confrontations in the streets before the end of the century.

When asked what Supreme Court Justice the candidates would not have nominated, Obama said Clarence Thomas. McCain named all four liberal judges.

realclearpolitics electoral map no toss up view shows Ohio slipping out of Obama column -- that's four states slipping out of his column in ~two weeks (VA, CO, NV, now OH). So now it's Obama 275 electoral college votes and McCain 263 with 271 needed to win. All McCin need do is get a fifth state -- say, IN or NM. In IN he's only half a point behind.

HRC was overconfident, ayup. Maybe -- just maybe -- this flaw is not limited to her alone in the universe?

Trusting we shall not blow this election through having an overconfident, northern, urban liberal who couldn't connect to white working class voters, like we (mostly) did in
1968,
1972,
1980,
1984,
1988,
2000,
and then 2004,

I remain,

Why, when I read the story on Russia pulling out of Georgia did the words "I promise I won't come ... oops!" flit through my mind ...
