Sneezing Panda Is So November 6, 2006

posted by on August 7 at 11:35 AM

Now, a tracker of Internet memes, so you can belly-laugh and reminisce with a snifter of brandy at your recent past. Or, if you are me, so you can see precisely how tragically outdated you are, because most of this is new to you.

(Thanks for the tip, Patrick, via Metafilter!)

Zebas are so last month on WoW.

Now it's only twinks that have them.

The whole Internet meme thing jumped the shark.

Wait. Jumped the shark "jumped the shark".

And knowing that is outdated.

But saying "it's so..." in a mocking way is outdated.

Actually the only thing here that's not outdated, is saying "outdated"...which is a sort of 50's term that squares used to call something square.

Very cool...outdated.

being tragically outdated on internet memes is a good thing. it means most of your life happens in places other than in front of your computer.

Yikes - this just points up the fact that I have wasted way too much of my life surfing the net.

Although, can one experience too many lolcats? I think not.

@6 -- what do you mean the posting "is from metafilter"? The linked site is on the Internet; just because you got to it through mefi doesn't mean everyone did. Also, an aggregator like metafilter doesn't have any right to demand credit for drawing someone's attention to a website. At best, that credit would be a courtesy by someone who genuinely hadn't seen the linked site until visiting mefi.
