Slog Happy Is One Week Away

Have you been to the Hideout yet? It’s a great bar. There’s tons of pretty art on the walls and vending machines with little treasures and affordable art instead of snacks. And while the lack of candy would usually get me in a tizzy (I like candy), instead you can order yummy treats from the bar including cheese and spreads platters, chocolate, and nuts. And they also have free pretzels for you cheapskates.

Join us, won’t you?

Seems perfectly do-able. I'll be there!

I'll probably be there if I ever figure out where the hell 10th and Boren is.

Heh, Greg. A county map will be required to find it.

The Hideout's art-dispensing machine is very cool.

Pretzels are good.

Are they giant soft pretzels hand-crafted by Bavarian artisans?

Isn't 10th and Boren in that weird place nobody can park?

Dang it! Stupid work scheduling me to work on all the fun nights to go out.

It's tucked away in that cream colored brick building right at Boren and Madison. There's a map here: http://www.hideoutseattle.com/contact.htm

Hideout is great for the following reasons:

1. They have (had?) a cocktail called the Ernest Hemingway that is (was?) served with a single cigarette

2. They have paintings by Leiv Fagereng on the wall

Carry on.

Dang, so we're back to "bar snacks" as opposed to "real food" items. You know, some of us need something a bit more substantial than pretzels and nuts to absorb teh alcohol.

Can you get the Ernest Hemingway with two shots?

The Andy Warhol is the best drink 'cause you get a Poloroid picture with it of you and your posse.

(Though, what the hell will they do when all the Poloroid film is gone?)

Awesome! That was my suggestion in the last slog-happy thread. But I never go, maybe this time.

I'm sticking with my original plan: I'll be at Slog Happy the moment it's at the Rendezvous.

Gee, I might by enjoying a beer with Will In Seattle and he'll have no idea who I am.

@15: Hot bartenders are always bitches, because they tire of shooting down liquored-up admirers who have weak game and questionable hygeine. In other words, admirers not unlike yourself.

I'm there. Or will be there. No baseball on the tube, though: the M's are off that day.

I'm not going unless the venue is muppet-friendly.
