onQ: What do the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival down in SODO, a new Italian place in Belltown called Tavolata, and a black metal show on Capitol Hill starring Book of Black Earth have in common?
A: Our Slog video crew (Kelly O. & Me) were there this past week.
Indeed, we hung outside all three venues, video camera and microphone in hand, to ask attendees a basic question: “How Was It?”
Welcome the first installment of our new Seattle nightlife survey!

Wait, was that last guy with the glasses the one dude from Heavy Metal Parking Lot? Seriously.
this years' Erotic Art Show wasn't very good...boring and derivitive...and not very erotic...
I'm hoping Ms Graves reviews it...
Tavolata is plus-good.
All the Drag Queens with their female dates.... can some one explain that please.

Nor were any of the shows in previous years. Mostly unattractive people standing around looking at mostly uninteresting and profoundly unarousing art. Unarousing is forgivable -- different strokes, and all that -- but uninteresting is fatal.
#4 one word. Bi
actually two words Bi sexual.
sshhhh quiet dont let any body know but sometimes gay guys the put their thingy into females bodies and its so oogy ooogy. and they like it. My girlfreind told me. Don't tell anyone.
It was so boring and unerotic that Joe keeps going ever year. Just to see if the audience is still unattractive (why don't more art reviews comment on the attractiveness of the audience?). Makes sense to me!
-- that was fun to watch... many a seattle rock personality caught on film in the last piece. i will follow this new nightlife survey. nice work kids!
