Who are those 33 percent deadenders is my question, and why do they hate America so?

Whoever they are, they clearly hate freedom.

It's obvious that the radical right-wing media has it out for Bush.

He's a uniter.

And a decider!

What I want to know is, who are these 11 percent of Democrats that still approve of Bush?

The number of people who will just support any old piece of crap just because he's the President and they love America and are going to stand behind the guy no matter what is pretty substantial. Apparently it's about 33 percent, since no president in my lifetime at least has ever been as "what" as this guy.

It's not gonna get him booted from office. It could be 1%, and the stubborn bastard will "stay the course".

a friend recently stated that he wants Bush to leave office with a *negative* approval rating. Like, 88% of unborn fetuses disapprove of his performance as president.

i feel no joy when the approval rating dips. if anything, it makes me feel even worse about the current administration.

things have gotten so bad that george & co. don't even have to pretend to be nice. they can be the biggest dicks in the world and it does not matter.

gw basically walks around saying "i don't give a fuck" and there is not much that can be done about it. his presidency is a shame upon this country.

I'd say that the religious right/cultural issues voters probably make up 15 to 20 percent of the country. The other 13 to 18 percent believe that Saddam Hussein personally flew the planes into the World Trade Center.

Bush's father polled briefly at 29% in Aug 1992.

Carter dropped as low as 28% in Jul 1979.

Nixon bottomed out at 23%.

All time low? Truman, 22%, Feb 1952.

So, yes, with a little effort, W's numbers still have a ways they can drop. He can definitely drop below 30% if he works at pissing off his base a little more.

What cracks me up about the numbers is that if his approval rating was broken down on a state by state basis, there could conceivably be whole states where only 5-10% of the population approves of Bush.

I wonder if we can sell him to Iraq?

Actually, the New York Times (so it must be true!) Almanac gives the lipstick-on-a-pig prize to Carter: 20% in Auguest 1979, the lowest of the low.

As for breaking down Bush's 33%, this is what we know: We know that as bad as he is, we know that you're worse.
