Is Mike any relation to Joe McGavick, the moderate Republican who worked for John Spellman? Back in the day, especially before Reagan, there used to be a fairly strong group of moderate Republicans in WA state who look like dinosaurs in the context of today's Republican predator-patriots. Anyone know if McGavick's brand of far-right smooth is descended from something that was once a little less vicious?
