I think you liberal fuckers are missing out on one of the most neglected issues that NOBODY is talking about!! Wasn’t it really fun and personally rewarding to be smarter than the President of the most powerful country on Earth for almost an entire decade? When will that ever happen again? Never…thats when! Thanks to us, and those like us, we’ll now be taught things by our leadership…we’ll ponder viewpoints that differ from ours, we’ll consider having a thoughtful foreign policy, we’ll listen to other smart people and maybe even have them appointed to cabinet positions they deserve…probably be part of a meaningful energy policy…and on it goes. Where is the opportunity for mockery and derision there? How will we feel smug, superior and contemptuous about someone who is so obviously firing on all cylinders? You wait…you’re gonna miss W a couple of years from now when you realize that you haven’t been light years ahead of Obama on any single topic even once! Then my friends…you’ll be sorry.Bill the Cop.

Oh come on, there's always room for liberal smugness in American politics, especially when we have a 2012 presidential candidate who thinks she can see Russie from her house and thinks Africa is a country.
(makes a rifle cocking motion and winks)
we s/b they (aka GOP)
Russie s/b Russia
After a quick smugness meter check my needle is still in the green.
I can personally guarantee that Bill the Cop has nothing to worry about here.
He's right!
Damn, that blows.
Now that's comedy.
Not only that, but the new president is going to be much handsomer than I am.
Eh, we needed the break anyway.
it will be the same.
we'll make fun of this moron the same as all the others.
NYT reported on a Q&A between David Remnick and the Daily Show writers. Since, as Remnick put it, Obama is "not hilarious," how would the Daily Show get Obama material to work with? Writer Jason Ross:
"The sort of myth, the romance of his story and persona, is sort of undermined by the banality of his politics. If you listen to what he’s saying, it’s usually not all that interesting. It’s definitely a contrast, and if you saw his press conference today it was pretty dull. I wouldn’t be that surprised to see that develops as a pattern with him."

And younger, @6, if only by a few months, but still.
And Bill, I can see your point here, but you know what? I can live with this.
Really, I can.
In fact, I'm rather looking forward to having someone in the White House who's demonstrably smarter than myself, because - and I know this may come as a shock to you - I think that's the way it SHOULD be.
When there is a good driver at the wheel it is great to feel safe enough to take a little nap.
Actually, I was thinking about this very subject and feeling a little sense of loss. I always knew I could be making better decisions than Bush.
I seriously doubt Bill the cop is smarter than GWB. GWB graduated from the best schools in the world, and went on to become president of the FREAKIN USA! What the hell has Bill done that requires brains, other than camp thesaurus.com? Making bad policy decisions is one thing. Having smarts is another.
