A “struggling” McCain fights back with a new speech—and Drudge, says Sullivan, is “falling in line,” pumping up an outlier poll that shows McCain gaining a little ground. But if Drudge were trying to revive McCain’s fortunes, why is he using this photograph?
That has to be the worst picture I’ve ever seen of John McCain—next to this one, of course. Your BFF looks positively cadaverous there, Matt, and I’m not sure that helps.
I think the second one is better. The blood brings out his red eyes.
Basically, all official photos of John McCain are designed to make him look younger, like his late sixties, say. Look how fresh he is, with the impish grin.

Believe it or not, Gawkerer, I sometimes make it to Drudge all by lonesome in the AM. And I'm not shy about linking to Gawker when it does direct me to something (http://slog.thestranger.com/2008/10/the_race_card). But thanks for keeping us honest.
Well, he is an extremely old man, o.k.? I mean, how good would you look after having cancer oh, say, many times? Those glands don't look good either. I'd have a Dr. look at those. Poor, old guy.

No no no... Drudge can't be McCain's BFF. Lieberman is McCain's BFF. Unless Lieberman has been promoted to closet boyfriend, in which case I guess the position is open...

Occurs to me that really old people start to look alike... Kinda like young children do.
I hate to insult my dead dad, but he looked like McCain in the weeks before he gave up the spirit.
He looks more like Don Rickles every day.
