Sports A “Homolicious” Sounders Pick?

So says Perez Hilton.
The newest Major League Soccer team, the Seattle Sounders, is expected to announce on Tuesday that Swedish soccer sensation, homolicious Freddy Ljungberg will be part of their team…Delish!
That panther tattoo makes me chuckle.
One more reason the Pro-American portions of the country should fear Sweden's encroachment into our way of life.
This is such a Seattle thing to do. We can't get the top guy, so we dump a truckload of money on a lesser version. Beckham Lite.
Regardless, this certainly increased my interest in the Sounders.

I have a very squishy soft spot for Freddie- I even sent in a Slog tip about this over the weekend, but no one reads my Slog tips. He was one of the first footballers I ever got interested in, albeit for not entirely footballing reasons (although he was, in his prime, a very good footballer, and if he can stay fit he can definitely be more than adequate in MLS). I'd actually been talking about Freddie as a Sounders signing since he left West Ham, so it's kind of bizarre to be a precog. Also, the panther tattoo in those ads was painted on, the real ones are on his back.
Needless to say, I'm actually very excited. Sure, this is going to be a basically-retired Freddie, but it's Freddie nonetheless, damn it.
and Karlheinz- the current Arsenal team are 12-year-olds, not has-beens, get your slurs right.

Well, at least they signed HIM. I was worried that we were being treated to a litany of possible ex-Arsenal signings, each one worse than the last, that would end up with Pascal Cygan signing for the Sounders.
