He was one of the first footballers I ever got interested in, albeit for not entirely footballing reasons (although he was, in his prime, a very good footballer, and if he can stay fit he can definitely be more than adequate in MLS). I'd actually been talking about Freddie as a Sounders signing since he left West Ham, so it's kind of bizarre to be a precog. Also, the panther tattoo in those ads was painted on, the real ones are on his back.

Needless to say, I'm actually very excited. Sure, this is going to be a basically-retired Freddie, but it's Freddie nonetheless, damn it.
