News Slog Tipper Has Priorities in Order

Slog tipper Jubilation T. Cornball has been closely following news of the rescue of Ingrid Betancourt from FARC rebels—but not because he’s all that interested in Ingrid’s plight. Says Jubilation: “The son of rescued Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt—the dreamily named Lorenzo—is sure a hotty in the Kutcher vein.”

Whew. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw AP photos of Betancourt's reunion with her family and thought, "My God, her son's cute!"
But yeah, props to the Colombian government for getting her and the other hostages out!

On a related note, does anybody else read "unspecified US government involvement" in the rescue as "we sent in a bunch of pipe-hittin' motherfuckers"? The whole operation -- especially the Che Guevara T-shirts on the infiltrators -- just screams "Delta Force!" to me. At least, it screams "Delta Force" as depicted on The Unit.
