Comments on McDermott Endorses Obama

About time. Christ, his constituency made their opinion clear on this in February for christsake. Way to go, Jim.

with the time lag since wa has voted overwhemingly for obama, i feel like this support doesn't have the punch it could have had quite a while ago. the cache that supers can gather by supporting early is going away now.

Just the slightest bit of research would have revealed that the Clntons raised a lot of money for Jim's legal defense fund. They were there for Jim when Jim needed them, which is entirely praiseworthy.

So Jim couldn't exactly throw them under the bus before this race had been decided, could he?

Jim's declaration comes before the convention, and it helps wrap things up before then. So please quit the nitpicking and the whining.

@5 is right. Loyalty, mutual support, "dancing with who brought you," all that will have absolutely no place in the administration of President Barack Obama and Vice President Bill Richardson. And the fact that the Clintons helpe dother Democrats for years and years and years and years ois absolutely shameful. We condemn helping other Democrats in time of need!

Also the idea that McDermott lacks balls because he waited till the race is over is yet another bit of malicious stereotyping by the evil Clinton campaign. Obviously, like all the other undecided superdelegates, who are the same Democrats who can't cut off funds in Congress to stop the war, McDermott is a profile in courage with his brave decision to wait till Obama has it sewn up.

We need more brave, strong Democrats just like him-- people who know how to lead, not just follow.

About time, cause this Saturday morning at NSCC the 7th CD was going to consider who our Dem candidate (single) was for the November election ...
