Confidential to the Pagliacci Employee I Met Last Night Who Said He’s Not Allowed to Read Slog at Work

posted by on May 14 at 12:05 PM

I just got off the phone with your boss (and Pagliacci co-owner) Matt Galvin. He said he didn’t know that the new internet filter banned The Stranger.

“The filter is being modified all the time,” he said. “And we didn’t want to have to have one anyway, but a few people were downloading stuff and creating problems and ruining it for everybody.”

He promised to lift the ban on The Stranger, but wouldn’t make any promises about YouTube.

Sorry—did what I could.

I bet that co-owner just doesn't want to get reamed on slog like jonah's least favorite taco truck

does the pizza joint pay their taxes on time - or - is that not news compared to Slog reading on the owners time?

silly people - the guy reading Slog a lot will soon be working somewhere else cause pay checks are based on work not leisure ... so sorry to break the bad news

mr pagliacci, what's your beef with south seattle (mt baker, columbia city, leschi)? what does a guy have to do to get you to realize that people in the southend enjoy delivery pizza once and awhile. Are you a southend hater? I hope not.

@4

Really? I do this all day and I just got a raise.

These Republicans and Ayn Randians and Austrian economists all think markets are rational, but every time I look around I don't see it. Why the hell do they pay me so much? Why do people who work hard all their lives get paid so little? I sure don't know.

@5 and Georgetown! I love Stellar Pizza but would love a Primo Pie delivered every now and then.

If the owners worried about bandwidth, SLOG is going to drag them down more than 10 YouTube windows running simultaneously.

My work filter won't let me see Towleroad, but slog works fine.

Can I add Beacon Hill to the list of neighborhoods shamefully ignored by Pagliacci?

Hi Pagliaccis - I love your pie, and you hire nice kids. You are where I spend the bulk of my pizza...dough. Thanks!
