Jen Stark’s Flash Spectrum (2008), 12 x 12 inches, card stock
At OKOK Gallery.
This one isn't as nice as Jubilation T. Cornball's painting.
A for effort, though. Looking at all those cut-outs makes my hand hurt.
I like it.
It looks like an explosion is puking! In a good way!
or does it look like puke is exploding?!
I used to make these in detention with Flair pens. Not 3-D though.
yeah, this is some bad ass shit. God I love OKOK.
It's puking rainbows.
Actually, Louis Wain drew some cats that look like this towards the end of his decline into full-blown schizophrenia: http://instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/courses/nbb421/student2003/epl8/Blank%20Page%202.htm .
big ups to OKOK and Charlie if you are reading this you are going DOWN at ping pong this weekend.
Gahhhhhhhhhh I love Jen Stark *paroxysms*
Alden Mason meets Frank Stella meets Bridget Riley. Or something.
@8: Fnarf, you made me LOL.
That whole exhibit is pretty interesting to see. I recommend viewing the pieces in clockwise order, since they get increasingly impressive that way.
@11: FTW
