Two new South Lake Union projects help poor, homeless…Hobson said it has been “real interesting” to watch the evolution of South Lake Union. As market-rate developers continue to build, he said they’ve gotten more “savvy” in understanding that projects serving the mentally ill don’t retard development. He points to the 199-unit Amli 535, formerly the Alexan Cascade that Trammell Crow Residential developed and Morgan Stanley purchased in March for a record price per unit in Seattle.
