The Stranger Hour

posted by on June 4 at 12:59 PM

This Saturday at 7 p.m., David Goldstein of Horse’s Ass and I kicked off a new feature called the Stranger Hour on “The David Goldstein Show” (7-10 pm Saturdays and Sundays on Newsradio 710-KIRO). Every Saturday, Goldstein will sit down with a Stranger writer (or, as Goldy likes to refer to us, “victim”) to recap last week’s news and talk about what’s coming up in the paper. Feel free to suggest topics in the comments.

awesome! it looks like the shows will be updated as podcasts eventually, for those of us not huddled around the radio on saturday night

a link to the podcast hour would be cool after each show.

I like the idea, but I dislike the proposed time. Saturday nights are too busy, or the proposed time conflicts with The Swing Years. Anytime on David's Sunday show would be better.

Oh please...

Goldy is on his way out and this is a desperate attempt, to actually get some ratings before they show him the door.

With the exception of his band of loyal nutcases, no-one listens to him.

As far as I can tell, ECB and The Stranger see Goldy's show as an opportunity to springboard their ambition on the surface option.

Quite frankly, Kiro should drop Goldy and give The Stranger staffers his spot.

They would draw good ratings.
