City Fremont Oktoberfest Is Moving

A press release just arrrived about the 2007 Fremont Oktoberfest… and it’s bad news, I’m afraid. There’s a big hole in the ground where Fremont’s Oktoberfest was held… so we won’t be drinking under the Aurora Bridge this year. The Fest is moving to Canal Street between Phinney Ave N. and 1st Ave NW. It’s a nice spot… and we’ll be drinking along the canal, with less traffic noise. It’s also along the bike path, so Joel Connelly and I can ride down together.
Perfect spot for SPU students across the lake to stare at, drooling, going "hmmmmm falling from grace and falling off my ass"
Hope no one toddles off drunk into the ship canal.
All right! I LOVE the Canal and miss having events along it!
This is great!
P.S.: If I push in some frat boys, it's too bad if they can't swim.
How is this bad news? The old spot was fine but a little... weird. It felt like totally partying down under the freeway, which essentially it was.
Canal street is pretty. Yay!
