The Morning News

posted by on May 15 at 7:00 AM

Getting closer: Iran is enriching more uranium. But for what?

Getting testier: Ahmadinejad warns of a “severe” response if the U.S. attacks.

The missing soldiers: Al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia says to stop looking.

Last days: The report is in on Wolfowitz: “self interest over institutional best interest.”

And then there was one: The No. 2 at the Justice Department resigns.

Can a person run in the Olympics with no feet? A South African forces the question.

“Something must happen”: If not, $8 billion and the entire discipline of physics goes down the drain.

!@##$)&%#)(!%@!!: Seattle fails to make the list of top road rage cities.

You missed the latest college frat party (in Delaware). There is video at CNN and there are pictures out there somewhere.

God Seattle sucks. What an embarrassment.

Seattle was actually listed as one of the "most courteous" cities along with Portland in the road rage article. As if Seattle needs any more false evidence of what a friendly place it is...

seattlites have to ask permission before they lean on their horns.

Seattle is courteous. Not nice. It's never been nice. But you guys don't even know what rude is. First of all, horn use is ~(East Coast)/10. And whereas in Seattle people stop for you to jay-walk in front of them, Montreal drivers tend to just speed up; you literally hear their engines roar as they bear down on you.

You'd think they would have tested more of Florida. Coloniel in Orlando, to be specific.

Didn't realize they went from top to bottom. Whoops.

If it wasn't for Fremont, Seattle would crush its courtesy competition. People are riding their horns in Fremont all the time. I blame Lenin.

Of course, this is another survey which means jack. Courteous drivers, as you guys in Seattle know, are nowhere near safe drivers.

The survey centered around road rage, so for all their obnoxiousness, Seattle drivers probably would finish high by that survey's standards.

Also, meanwhile, Iran's making nukes. But who cares? Seattle's 3rd on a 'nice drivers' list!

Seems like just yesterday we were having a chat about the US “healthcare” system and several sloggers were defending it. Well, guess what:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Americans get the poorest health care and yet pay the most compared to five other rich countries, according to a report released on Tuesday.

Germany, Britain, Australia and Canada all provide better care for less money, the Commonwealth Fund report found.

"The U.S. health care system ranks last compared with five other nations on measures of quality, access, efficiency, equity, and outcomes," the non-profit group which studies health care issues said in a statement.
