Comments on Take 2 for I Dot the Eye
I saw Richard Foreman's latest play when I was in New York last month. Foreman was there, working the controls as always. The play, called "Wake up Mr. Sleepyhead" was jaw-droppingly weird and gorgeous, glamorous, violent, and extraordinarily thought-provoking. Foreman, who has to be pushing 70, remains the most creative, brilliant, exciting and vibrant mind in American theater. I can't think of anyone else who even comes close. Can't someone out there bring him back to Seattle for just one more production before his time is up?
