Dennis Johnson, RIP

Former Sonic Dennis Johnson, the MVP of the ‘79 NBA Finals, has died. He was only 52.

That's too bad. I was fortunate to be a kid back in Boston in the championship days.

My memory is this famous one: Larry Bird, Dennis Johnson and Celtic's announcer Johnny Most.

Pretty awesome that at this moment, death was the furthest fucking thing from DJ's mind.

DJ went 0 for 14 in Game 7 of the finals the year before, and we still loved him. I kept the poster of him on my wall for years after they traded him to Phoenix.

RIP DJ.
