Alexandra Pelosi’s new HBO documentary Friends of God—which is about the sex lives of Evangelicals—features a long interview with America’s favorite disgraced pastor. From ABC News…
Haggard served as Pelosi’s tour guide through the evangelical community. In the film, he proclaims that evangelicals have the best sex lives in the world.“You know all the surveys say that evangelicals have the best sex life of any other group,” he says.
Ted is the gift that just keeps on giving, huh? And Haggard’s answer isn’t technically a lie. He said evangelicals have the best sex lives… he didn’t say that they were necessarily having all that sex with, you know, their repulsive, bloated wives. (See: Driscoll, Mark.) Back to the story…
Haggard resigned from the church in 2006, after a scandal linked him to drugs and a male prostitute.

Wow, one area he was telling the truth about. Even if he lied about the best sex with "women".

I believe it. No matter who they're sleeping with, Evangelicals keep getting exposed as the biggest fetish and sex freaks in the country.
Is there a correlation here? The more fucked up your sexual desires ==> the more ashamed you are of them ==> the more likely you are to embrace an anti-sex ideology.
Or, maybe it goes the opposite way. The more you're taught to be ashamed of sex ==> the more likely you are to want to snort meth and fuck gay prostitutes, anally rape your wife, or "marry" 13-year-old girls.
