Wanna see the trailer—the censored and uncensored versions—for John Cameron Mitchell’s new film? Then go here. I’m so fucking excited about seeing this film that I’m gonna wet my damn self.

oh... I KNOW!!!

Uhhh, Great for you. I'm not excited and I will NOT be loosing bladder control. It looks kinda pretentious and self-important. I have a feeling the sex will be gimmicky and the characters will be underdeveloped, that and I am just not down with having to hide an erection in public. I'll still give it a chance though, but I will be waiting for DVD thank you very much.

Hadn't heard of it till now, but, wow, it looks amazing.

Sook Yin Lee! I love Sook Yin Lee!

I will check it out and have herd of the film but I find this film "Brother Of the Head" a little more interesting.

So, don't hide the erection, Brandon.

The preview reminds me a bit of a Larry Clark film, but with an older, prettier cast making it less pedophilic and more like a 21st century key party (ex: The Ice Storm).

I just hope I don't leave the film thinking that I'm not doing it well enough or often enough or with the 'right' people because I already get plenty of that, thank you very much.

I'm fascinated that sexuality itself seems to be coming out of the closet more and more (and I thank the global masturbation superhighway), and also thrilled.

i love canada

I'll leave the exhibitionism to the actors in the movie, thank you very much :)

I know what you mean with some movie's/media in general to make the viewer feel guilt for not having a life like the one portrayed on screen. It can be irritating and confusing.

I'd heard a couple of years ago that JCM was next going to do a study on human sexuality - a film with real fucking (no dry humping) and one that wasn't porn but would break new ground in mainstream cinema. We'll see. I've already seen two non-porn films this year that had actual sex in it (9 Songs, Lie with Me) and a movie without much going for it in the first place isn't helped much by actual copulation. The trailer looks pretty fascinating though and I'm pulling for the film (get your mind out of the gutter).

You know, since there's so much crap out there these days, it'd almost be worth it to forego going to the theatre or the cineplex during the year, save up, and hit the Toronto Film Festival for a week in September.
