“Can I Hold the Purppy?”

Posted by on September 1 at 14:03 PM

So maybe you read my film review of Lassie in this week’s paper, and maybe you’re wondering what the hell I’m talking about when I said “Can I hold the purppy?” at the end.

Well, I stole it from the funniest Stella skit in the world.

Watch this and it’ll all make sense. It will also make you laugh. You know, if you like Stella… like I do.

The first 30 seconds were funny. The other five and a half muinutes were just variations on the same joke, ad nauseum.

I blame Saturday Night Live for this. Come up with a gag, then beat it to death until the next commerical break. But maybe it's really pot's fault, for creating an audience for material this repetitive.

not bad....

but still not the State.

Plenty, plenty of the State at YouTube. Search for "muppet meat" and enjoy your Friday afternoon.

Oh yeah, fuck you MTV.

I don't know, Megan. I think 'Bored' and 'Raking Leaves' might have to win as funniest Stella skits.... I mean, Sam Rockwell's teeth falling off as he eats pizza and Bradly Cooper wearing little devil horns and humping Daivid Wain? I'm just saying.

And that was their funniest skit? Yikes.

Okay, so I just YouTubed "Bored" and "Raking Leaves." Uhhhh, when did comedy stop being funny?

That was fucking stupid.

I feel soiled and defiled, like I just bathed in the sewer of American culture. Oh, I just did, no wonder I feel that way.

And on marches the decline of western civilization. God help our children.
