I heard from a guy, that heard from a guy, that the sad shark is actually one of the many sharks which had to be relocated from the upstairs of the old bad ju ju lounge. The tanks up there were big and full of many fishes, maybe the shark misses his/her friends.
The back room at Hattie's is also wildly uncomfortable and feels like a badly designed knock off of a shitty Fremont Yuppie bar. Why, I ask, did they do that to that place?

Don't be fooled by the shark's sad expression. It's just a trait, evolved in the wild, that acts to lure sympathetic fish within striking distance.
