Interesting that even in a country where prostitution is legal, it’s said that…”the type of work is inappropriate and incompatible with policing…” If it’s not against the law, what’s so inappropriate and incompatible?

But wow, only 312 dollars a night? I hope that’s more money there than it is here…

The news report says that it was NZ$500 which translates to US$312.

"A spokeswoman for the New Zealand Prostitutes' Collective said that depending on the brothel in which she worked, the police officer could have earned 500 New Zealand dollars (US$312) on a busy night."

Whoops, didn't read very carefully, did I? Wow. I know the price goes down when it's legal, but still... $312 on a busy night? Yeep. Note to self: don't take a working vacation in NZ.
