Via Drudge: Cheney threw out the first pitch for the Washington Nationals today—and was loudly booed.

Booooooooo!
Hissssssss!

That's rather funny, given most baseball players and executives are Republican. Did you know that, in a straw poll before the '04 election, 23 of the 25 active Seattle Mariners players said they would vote for Dubya, many adding that they felt he'd protect their salaries from high taxes? I forget one of the two dissenting opinions, but the other was from pitcher Bobby Madritsch, who blew out his shoulder months later and has since been released.

Randy Winn was the other.

It appears that he was booed for throwing the first pitch into the dirt in front of the plate.
It is possible however that the crowd was booing that as a metaphor for the administration's performance in general.
I wonder, will we read in the next VP press release that Cheney actually made it over the plate and that those who claim otherwise are unamerican evildoers.

Thanks, Amy. And IIRC, he got traded last year to, rather coincidentally, San Francisco.

Used to call him "The Dink" when he came out of the little leaugue bull pen way back when, back in Wyoming.

Boo is polite, consideraing what he deserves.

Darth is among us.

He and Rove have corrupted America beyound belief.
