Reading Today

If you have anywhere to go today, I hope you remembered to set your clocks back. There are two events and an open mic today.

Martha Brockenbrough is at Queen Anne Books, reading from Things That Makes Us. This is billed as a book for grammar snobs who occasionally make mistakes. I didn’t think grammar snobs admitted to making mistakes; perhaps I should go to this reading to witness this rare moment of fallibility.

And at Elliott Bay Book Company, the local group Los Norteņos will celebrate the Day of the Dead with music and poetry and some dance and maybe some evil puppets. This is a popular event every year, and kind of fun if you’re into, you know, other cultures and stuff.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here.
