I wish I hadn't been eating lunch when I read "222 times". That's terrible...

One of my in-laws is a Chicago cop, and she once said that gay domestic disputes are even worse than straight ones (more vicious and difficult to handle). I was surprised by that because it wasn't something I had ever heard before... Not that one incident proves that point, but still, this sounds particularly brutal.

If you had told me a year ago that we'd soon be having homicides and suicides across this country over real estate, I'd never have believed you.

@1 I've heard that's believed to be true because, in same-sex domestic disputes, the people at odds are more evenly matched physically, so the fight isn't over as quickly or decisively.

I don't think that applies in this case, where the killer apparently just lost her sanity completely. She just also happened to be gay.

I'm not really sure I'll believe that gay domestic disputes are much different from straight ones, I think it all comes down to the people disputing, really. And what they are willing to do to prove a point.

And nasty domestic events are inevitable in a a percentage of all long-term relationships, no matter who's in them.
Knowing some of the stuff done in hetero marriages, I can't say that the gay ones could be much worse.

No offense to the victim, of course, but how perhaps she couldn't afford to move out because she was busy buying high-end things like BMW Sedans. People spend all their money on frivolity then act shocked when the tides turn and they suddenly have nothing.

Of course they could have sold the house. They might have taken a lose, but that's capitalism here in the US of A. Of course one of the gals could have left the house altogether.
