A British man has been sentenced to life in prison because he killed his wife after she changed her Facebook status to “single.”

The day before the murder, he called her parents and complained about his wife’s Facebook entry which he said “made her look like a fool”, the court heard.

I’m really posting this because I have a Facebook etiquette question: Would it be creepy and weird if I joined the Facebook group for Slog fans?

When I was at CrunchGear they required us to join the "fans of CrunchGear" Facebook group. So I say a precedent has been made. Do it!

The only thing sadder than spending hours trolling around on Slog, is joining a group of people dedicated to bragging about spending hours trolling around on Slog.

I always cringe a little when bands join their own fan groups on MySpace/Facebook/etc.

And I always grin when they join the inevitable "(their band) SUCKS" group.
