“Now We See The Violence Inherent In the System”

posted by on October 22 at 15:56 PM

It’s October 22nd, and you know what that means, kids: it’s the 13th Annual National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality! Yay!

There’s a rally today at Seattle Central Community College at 4pm and a march at 5:30. I have no other details as 13ANDPSPB’s site is conveniently broken working for everyone except me.

"Let him go, let him go" isn't that what the cowards were shouting at the police as they wrestled the nutty student to the ground at SCCC a few months back. If the "Masses" had any balls they would have pulled the police off the nutty student and freed him. Standing up and fighting back is the BEST and ONLY way to gain respect. You're "brutalized" because you allow it to happen to you. Don't break the law either. That helps.

Sargon, most of the SCCC student body are a bunch of young, inexperienced assholes anyway.

what about Bum Brutality? Was waiting to cross the street in Fremont when a homeless guy dropped his bag on the bus bench, stood still for a moment, then lunged at me stopping just a few feet short.

He explained that he could have snapped my knee just then and that he was now going to snap my knee. I told him I did not recommend that he do that, and other than "Oh yeah? You don't recommend ---" I was unable to decipher the remainder of his no doubt biting and witty retort.

The light changed and I began walking across the street to his chants of "Bitch! Come back here, Bitch!" I chose to ignore him and move on, rather than get into a debate or fight with a fellow who is unlikely to be appreciative of logic, reason, or the fact that I'm 6' tall, over 200 pounds, and spent much of the past decade in martial arts training.

I wonder, as I walked away, if he thought >I

It saddens me that I shall never know.

sincerely,
diggum
