When you can't tell the difference between Politics and SNL:

I have to admit, though, hes a great debater, and he looks pretty doggone confident, like hes sure hes going to win, Ms. Palin, 44, said of Mr. Biden, 65. But then again, this is the same Senator Biden who said the other day that University of Delaware would trounce the Ohio State Buckeyes. Wrong!

On Palin: "She's a bit of a maverick herself," McCain told the rally in Columbus, Ohio.

Am I the only one who won't be surprised if she floors it after a week of rote-learning everything Republica wants to hear?

I have a theory about why she's looking forward to the debate. Do you want to hear it? It's because she's an idiot.

Hubris.

Keep your mouths shut, Alaska democrats. When she's sent home in november, she's going to want to kill something.

What else is supposed to say? "I'm so terrified of the debate I peed myself"? Of course she said she's looking forward to it...

...like I'd look forward to a root canal.

Has she ran that by McCain to see if she really feels that way?

Gosh! Seems like it's all over but the shoutin'!

Personally I'm waiting for the part where Mr Biden claims to have a higher IQ than her, goes on to talk about having graduated near the top of his class at Syracuse, and finishes up by saying he's always supported a united Iraq.

She'll do fine for the people who like her: She'll make some idiotic folksy observations. She'll squeeze in some sort of reference to Jesus, she'll avoid answering questions - they'll love it. She's just like them.

No. The worst part is that she'll stand up straight, speak with charisma and confidence, land a few zingers on Biden, and the rest of the stuff that makes no sense will SOUND wonkish and therefore impress a bunch of idiots who don't believe women know how to articulate anything. Grrrrrrrr......

I want her to pause and then and yell "line!" into the wings. Just once is all I ask.

Since expectations for Palin's performance couldn't possibly get any lower, her merely showing up and not accidentally skewering herself on the microphone will be seen as a win.

Biden, on the other hand, can't possibly win. If he goes after her, he's a big meanie... If he lays off of her, he's a big wuss... If he shows that he's smarter than her, well duh... If he tries to hide that he's smarter than she is, he lets her look like she's holding her ground.

And trust me, no one...I do mean no one...will have their minds changed, no matter what either of them says.
