Fuck the far left. How did these numbskulls get it in their mind that Christianity is "Capitalist" or are they basically ignorant of Christianity?

(Rubs face) Stupid, worthless, no good, goddamn, freeloading son of a bitch. Retarded, big mouth, know-it-all, asshole, jerk.
"You forgot ugly, lazy and disrespectful."
Shut up, bitch! Go fix me a turkey pot pie. "What about you, Dad?"
Fuck you.
"No, dad, what about you?"
Fuck you!
"Dad, what about you?"

Putting Obama on a stamp is bad luck. Yeah, I know I'm superstitious (blame my Catholic family), but stamps are for people that are already dead.

Charles, get me one of those Ali buttons. I'll pay you back.

Nevertheless, Christianity as a political movement is experiencing a last burst of energy before the flameout. After the fin-de-siecle 80s and 90s, the current Great Awakening is a last gasp of an anti-science movement that cannot hold out much longer against basic rationality. Christianity, as we know it today - reflexively monocultural, exclusionary, hyper-judgmental - will give way in a couple of generations to a Christianity that is tolerant, pluralistic, and a matter of private conscience rather than public assertion. This trend has been happening for several hundred years and is accelerating. It will be another few hundred years before it recedes entirely into the background and by then Islam will have matured into a state much like Christianity today. And then the Muslim world will slowly become entirely secular as well. Spirituality will become entirely personal.

But it's all a statistical tie. Or as Charles would say, "But it's all a capitalist equivalence between two elements of society that want to matter but don't."

Charles, whatever butt your head is in, you should remove it, sniff some fresh air, and realize that the reasons that black Americans haven't been close to the far left is because most damned Americans aren't close to the far left. Why? Because subscribers like you constantly condescend to them, just like you do in this post.

Keep up the good work, Mr. Mudede!

Try to find the shirt Spike Lee was wearing where Obama is dunking over McCain in a game of basketball.

Because of their deep commitment to Christianity, black Americans have never been close to the generally atheistic and anti-capitalist movements of the far left.
Was this sentence a joke? Or did people sell Jesus shirts on the streets of Bethlehem?

After eight years of failure, only people who hate America don't want an Obama button.

Stop your hatin.

"Because of their deep commitment to Christianity, black Americans have never been close to the generally atheistic and anti-capitalist movements of the far left."

Yes and no. No majority of any population in this country has ever been anti-capitalist. However. Some of the most important anti-capitalists thinkers this country has ever had were black.

WEB Du Bois, Hubert Harrison, CLR James, Claude McKay, A Philip Randolph (socialist when he founded the pullman porter union), James Boggs, and many, many others all the way up to Bill Fletcher, Jr today.
