Good Morning!

Slog tipper Jackie took this picture at Maynard Avenue South, between S Dearborn and S Charles streets, on the southern edge of the ID…

“About a dozen or so dismembered chicken feet strewn about the sidewalk and gutter,” says Jackie. “These are going to smell fantastic by lunchtime.”

At least they didn't wash ashore in tennis shoes...

10 second rule! If I weren't in another state, I'd call dibs!

They still slaughter chickens by the millions right around there, don't they? And chicken feet are a delicacy in Chinese cuisine (I love 'em). Looks like someone's bag had a hole in it.

@5, sadly we are stretched thin in the Seattle area and we simply do not have enough paws to get the situation in the International District addressed. However, we have contacted various cougars and coyotes who will be in the area soon. That is all! *meow*

So tell me again why it is preferable to live in the Urban core of the City?

Ohhh you mean I get the joy of having to live with this type of ambiance....

It is an awesome photo though, it looks like a horror movie street scene. If it were a video, I'd expect the evil perpetrator to pop onto screen right before the camera drops and the screaming and gnawing begins.

I thought it was a pile of bones when I walked up the block, then realized it was a pile of dismembered, death-clenched chicken talons. Usually there are a gaggle of zombies (homeless junkies) on that block, soaking up the sunshine and finishing their bottles of Mad Dog, but this morning there were only feet.

A concerned citizen with enough time to snap a photo and fret about the projected olfactory properties of 12 or 15 chicken feet might, in another world, be civic-minded enough to grab a trash bag, pull on a rubber glove and spend three minutes solving the problem ... just sayin'.
