Man, that movie sucked
It's reverse product placement. (I mean that in a bad way.)
Yes, the movie wasn't great, but it would be nice to get into your flying DeLorean and 'drive' to London.
Which I'm sure Will has done already.
Sure, I've been to London - Heathrow airport is a great place to get cell phone covers.

Turns out they did the "self-lacing shoes" gimmick by running the laces thru holes in the floor of the set and pulling them.
That's much less impressive.
i don't know... as a sneaker fan, i don't care about the self-lacing. i always wanted the shoes. they just had to look right.
like these (from a recent ebay auction). the hyperdunks don't even look right -- laces or otherwise.
Actually if you watch the trilogy there's a DeLorean left over due to a flaw in the time/space continuum. Now to go find it.
i can't find it.
