Goonerrific

posted by on July 2 at 13:53 PM

David Fincher’s long list of upcoming kick-ass film projects continues to grow.

Fincher—director of Fight Club, Zodiac and George Michael videos—is now attached to a CG animated adaptation of Dark Horse Comics’ The Goon series.

Nerds, rejoice.

WOW -- you left out the part about it being CG animated by Blur studios.

This will be incredible.

Thanks for linking to that GM vid. I forgot how much I love that song & vid.

Does that make me gay?

Speaking as someone who picked up a limited edition collectible animation cell featuring The Goon and Seattle's iconic Space Needle at this year's Emerald City Comicon, I approve of this post.

@ 2- I didn't mention Blur because from looking at their site, they've just done a bunch of commercial and video game work. Am I missing something?

@4- Good to know there's more of us on Slog, Jackie.

Thanks for the warning.

I was talking with one of the stars at the recent SIFF, it's basically a spin on Arthur C. Clarke's Rendevous With Rama, in case you haven't figured out.

So long as we get tripod beasties in it, should be FUN!

Will, you seem confused.

Rendezvous With Rama is a separate project Fincher ALSO working on, as noted in the links in my post.

The Goon is based off of a comic series.

Thanks for playing.
