ISRAEL is talking to Hamas. Bush is probably talking to Hamas in secret. McCain will CERTAINLY talk to Hamas if he is elected.

Bush is incapable of talking to anyone that bothers him or pisses him off. It's a maturity thing and results in many missed opportunities. McCain will want to be sure he isn't tagged with the same MO.

Wow I thought Obamania was a US thing. I guess the tendency to see any opponent of Bush as potentially left-wing is a global problem rather than a national one.

If people (in Hamas or in the US) think Obama will have the resolve to seriously challenge Israel on its illegal occupation, its illegal settlements, its illegal wall, its illegal use of torture, etc, they're dreaming. There isn't enough pressure on him from within the US to do that. And he's shown himself to be a highly risk averse politician. But hell. Any Democrat is better than Bush, so long as we don't confuse the Democrats with lefty politics.

Bushies are all about Fear.

It's all that they have.

And very un-American.

You make an excellent point in this post. Even if Obama's plan isn't that much different than any past president, if he sits down and talks with them and they start out with some amount of respect for him and his opinions he's already in a better place for bargaining than another politician they hate/fear.

I agree w/ Colin, really good point here. It would be nice if someone were on CNN or MSNBC telling the truth about this.

Repubs are really just hoping for knee-jerk idiot reaction to this, is there some chance Americans will get smart to this b.s.? Saw Rove on Fox while flipping, and he's acting like he did in 2006. I'm hoping that's a sign they are out of ideas on how to fool people.
