Andrew Sullivan points to this little tidbit where Hillary has co-opted Obama's slogan:

How do you Hillary supporters feel about this?

Sullivan pretty much sums it up...

"Yes, we can" vs. "Yes, she can." There you have the key difference between the two campaigns.

Ecch, I'm for Obama but that spot got very discordant very quickly.

Josh, you think this is creepy? Why? I thought it was well done, and fairly low on the creep-o-meter.

I kind of like it. Question, though.

At 4:10, there's a woman with what appears to be a tattoo of a pirate flag and a lot of cleavage. She was also in hte middle of the video. Who is she?

What's with all the recycled content on the slog lately?

First dan posted something today that he posted on Saturday.

And now you post a youtube clip that Eli posted on Saturday.

It's as if Saturday never actually happened.

That fails as both music and as a rousing political message.

It's pretty corny.

It is historicreepy.

BTW, what is it with the Black Eyed Peas thing? I guess I'm getting old but I see them way too much in too much commercialized stuff (thinking Apple products, other commercials, etc). It puts me off. Just sayin.

Everyone was busy Saturday, stinkbug.

Creepy is right! This is exactly the image Obama is trying NOT to project. This militant, we-know-best-and-now-we're-doing-it-our-way liberal tone. The guy saying "Si se puede" with the clenched fist salute loses Obama five percent of the vote all by itself.

If Obama's supporters know what's good for their candidate, they'll keep this stuff to a minimum.

@7; I like the repostings. Just think of it as a service for those of us that leave our computers over the weekend.

yah this thing is corny, and epitomizes the whole paultardedness of obama folks that is driving me so crazy. i keep trying to pretend that he's already won the nomination and placing myself in the mindset that it is him vs. mccain or anyone else. it makes it difficult. its like a bad superbowl commercial.

@11 Agreed on the clenched-fist. Dude may as well have been wearing a Che t-shirt.

I like what (the unabashedly Obama-supporting) John Hodgman said about this video:
"I CAN SEE a cynical argument that points out that most Americans don't care what Michael from LOST or Scarlett Johansson thinks about politics.

BUT I SURE THINK this is beautiful."

I luv the clenched fist.

It's time to take back America!

Things go in cycles.

Not surprisingly, I'm no fan of this. It's bad on the ears and reminds me of "PBS Salutes Black History Month" montage of children reciting King's "I Have a Dream." Super hokey.

However, I have had that horrible horrible Seattle Obama song stuck in my head when I'm showering for the past three days.

@6; the girl that you're talking about is Esthero (I think).

Scarlett Johansson is indeed hot - she just exudes sex in her few shots here... but somehow it still annoys me that she is in there singing. It just seems phony, like those AIDS celebrity posters a while ago. Actually, the whole thing is phony. Part of me liked it; I don't think its creepy; but lately even this type of warm fuzzy rhetoric makes me sort of sick.

Nah, she's got a great singing voice.

You're getting way too cynical - in a year you can let your hair down and forget about the cynical views that the Occupation has instilled in us.

Wow, that was terrible. "Yes we can"... what? Really, can what? Be naive?

Yes you can.

If you heard the Obama radio ads from last week, it sounded like they had a bunch of 13-year-olds cheering in the backgound. Yippee!

is it natasha beddingfield?

@17: A bit of googling tells me that you're right, thanks! Although, I've realized that I have no idea who Esthero is and that the reason I thought I recognized her is that from certain angles she looks a bit like the woman from "Mythbusters."
