Still No Arrests In Shannon Harps’ Murder

posted by on January 23 at 13:16 PM

The Seattle Police Department just sent out a press release, saying that “forensic testing and investigative efforts” have not led to an arrest in the murder of Shannon Harps, who was fatally stabbed outside of her Capitol Hill condo on New Year’s Eve.

SPD’s announcement comes days after news that DNA tests were being done on a 29-year-old man—being held on an unrelated Department of Corrections violation—to see if he could be linked to Harps’ murder.

Seattle Police would not confirm whether their press release was related to the 29-year-old man’s DNA test. However, they did confirm that they don’t have anyone in custody for the murder.

SPD has increased patrols on Capitol Hill, and is advising residents to “remain vigilant.”

The good news is none of us have to put up with each other any more. Seattle passive aggressive is finally out the window because SPD has made it abundantly clear that we can all kill with absolute impunity (unless of course you're black. In that case you should be careful not to even drive a car much less litter. SPD has special rules for blacks still, of course.)

No. Moving to the hill. Everybody says "no pets" or "we already have a cat/dog, no more" and most of these people sound like they'd be fucking hell to live with.

But how do I know you're not THE KILLER!?!?!?!

Early articles said that Shannon was heard saying something right before or after the attack, but nothing else has come from that. If it was something generic such as "help" or "stop" it seems like the police would release that info. The fact that they will not reveal what she said is interesting, makes me wonder if she said something that would identify the killer somehow. Just a thought.

Depending on how the interviews we've already got lined up go, I might just be sending you an email, Mr. Poe.

Is anyone else concerned that the 29 YO they have failed to connect to THIS crime might get set free? Let's see, what was the quote by his ex-wife...something like "it was only a matter of time before he killed someone" ?
Yeah, let that guy go.

They've increased police patrols on the hill? Perhaps they'll stop, or respond to at least, a gay bashing or two.
