I never knew Eddie Murphy was pushing for the sanctity of marriage. Interesting post.

How sad. Must have been a fight over who gets to wear the skirt.

What a shock. I was honestly a little surprised that a man with his history of womanizing got married in the first place.

you know, eddie, you don't have to marry every woman you like. you can just take them to tahiti for a VACATION.

how many marriages is this now? 4?

Why doesn't he just kill them?

Further driving the sanctity point home is the fact that it wasn't a legal marriage anyway.

Mr. Poe, he only marries the ones that would be missed. I wouldn't do any gardening in his back yard.

I like this one better than the "every child deserves..." feature.

Keep 'em coming!

All marriages should last for one night, and one night only.

But it isn't a marriage if you use protection.

Maybe his wife finally saw Norbit.

I wonder if they spread any flesh eating bacteria between each other before separating.

And now he's saying, "Oh, we weren't really getting married. No, we were just puttin' on a show!"

"comic actor"? What was the last role Murphy had that was remotely funny?

Bowfinger, maybe?

Dan, this is fucking weak.

Eddie Murphy a hypocrite on marital sanctity? I think not. I've never heard him expound on the point, and he's Hollywood, which, in the eyes of your enemies, long ago gave up marital sanctity.

Definitely missed with this shot.

Peace.

Out.

Uh, wet_suit @16, the point is that Eddie Murphy and Britney Spears can get married and divorced on a whim, whereas serious gay and lesbian people cannot get married at all. The only reason we're prevented from doing so is because so many morons (not Eddie or Britney, mind you--this might be a bit difficult for you to follow) play the "God intended marriage for one man and one woman" card. But after you read stories like this you realize that's just a bullshit cover for bigotry. The point is, why can Britney get married for a day, Eddie Murphy for a couple of weeks, but gay people are denied completely. If marriage is supposed to be sanctified, then let it be sanctified, but don't say that it has to be sanctified--but not really, not if you're straight.

That's pretty friggin good.

I hadn't even heard that he was getting or was married, as far as I'm concerned he went straight to the divorce. "Hey, yer kinda cute. I think I love you. Wanna go somewhere exotic and get divorced?"

Always on the lookout for new pickup lines… ;0)
