Ohio brought these kids four more years of bombing.

The soldier pictured died in Iraq last year (or in 2005). He was a Deadspin reader. Search Ohio State on Deadspin, and that comes up eventually

I once went to Columbus, Ohio for Christmas to meet a girlfriend's family. It was one of the strangest trips I have ever taken in my life. Most of my time there was drunk. It reminded me a lot of Pullman, with more seating capacity.

I spent an entire day traveling around rural Ohio, going from one hog and cattle auction to another and meeting an entire cast of folks straight out of a David Lynch movie. One guy was the only suriving member of his platoon from the Korean war. Apparently, he had between 20 and 30 freezers on his property. He would go to these cattle auctions, buy hogs and slaughter them. Since his freezers were all full of meat, he would just buy a new freezer, put it in his yard and fill it full of slaughtered hog. The inspector and him got into a big fight about whether he should be allowed to buy any more hogs.

Everytime I read about Ohio State, I think about this (and peanut butter balls covered in chocolate). As far as I could tell, there is a lot of inbreeding going on in Ohio.

Bleah. Now we get to hear about how "superior" SEC football is for the rest of the year. Not that I like the Big 10 much either, but, damn.

If not for a shanked 30-yard field goal by UCLA, the Pac-10 would've had the best bowl conference record this season. USC likely would've beaten LSU, but we'll never know for sure...
