Two New Iowa Polls

posted by on December 14 at 10:30 AM

One finds Clinton tied with Obama, the other finds Obama ahead of Clinton:

Lee poll: Obama 33, Clinton 24, Edwards 24

Diageo/Hotline poll: Clinton 27, Obama 27, Edwards 22

But both show Huckabee ahead of Romney:

Lee: Huckabee 31, Romney 22

Diageo/Hotline: Huckabee 36, Romney 23

I hope and pray Huckabee is nominated; he's got no hope of election.

And this is why people shouldn't pay attention to Iowa. Huckabee is never going to win the nom. Just because he got some old white men to vote for him in Iowa, does not mean he has broad appeal.

I still can't get over Huckabee's fuckin' porkshop family. Man he has some ugly kids.

I feel better about 2008 all the time. Any of the top Democratic candidates will be well-poised to make mincemeat out of whichever loser the remaining couple dozen Republicans nominate.

That chick in Eli's story that couldn't decide between Obama and Huckabee . . . that shit scares me.

Posted by Levislade | December 14, 2007 10:49 AM

Good. Huckabee will go down hard. I'm surprised he's still polling well.

Oh man...what I wouldn't do to have the results on the D side from Iowa be Obama, Edwards, Clinton.

I'd love to see JRE and BHO on a ticket together. And then Hillary can go on to become an excellent Senate Majority Leader.

And as "unelectable" as I think Huck is, well, damn, I thought that about GWB, too. I'll fucking off myself if 1/20/09 sees us swearing in President Huckabee.

Huckabee up, Obama up? Happy, happy days.

Posted by torrentprime | December 14, 2007 11:07 AM

Huckabee should not be referred to by any other name other than HuckaFUCKINGCRAZY.

Posted by seattle98104 | December 14, 2007 11:07 AM

FUCKABEE!!!!!! (not original, I know, but still fun to say/type in all caps)

Posted by Hernandez | December 14, 2007 11:12 AM

I agree Huckafuckingcrazy is a nut, but he does speak to the loony evangelical crowd that has threatened to stay away from the Mormon and Mr. 9/11. What if the Mormon asks Huckafuckingcrazy to be his veep - anybody think that helps the Mormon and more importantly get the batshit crazy evangelicals to the polls? I just want the whole thing to be over.

In the end it's all about the turnout in the swing states, and how many electronic votes are stolen by people too out of it to vote by permanent absentee mail-in ballot ...

Posted by Will in Seattle | December 14, 2007 11:41 AM

Cause nobody could ever screw around with mail-in paper ballots.

Posted by pox | December 14, 2007 11:46 AM

I didn't say that.

I just implied it's harder to do that, @13.

Posted by Will in Seattle | December 14, 2007 12:33 PM

@11 It's Mittens. Huckafuckingcrazy, 9iu11iani, and Mittens.

Posted by chi type | December 14, 2007 12:37 PM

damn fundi bible thumpers. they're backing the sexist, homophoebic, and probably racist(wait for more shit to come out) fuckabee.

@7 I hope the primaries prove you and wrong and he's not the republican's top pick and I hope he's not on the VP ticket either.
