The Stranger News Hour. This Saturday 710 KIRO

posted by on December 7 at 14:33 PM

I’ll be on David Goldstein’s radio show tomorrow at 7pm.

We had a fatso news section this week: Sweetheart deals for Vulcan; North Seattle neighbors who hate everything; Dave Reichert meets with SEIU; and a progressive candidate steps up to challenge Democratic State Senate incumbent Margarita Prentice. So, I’ll want to yack about all that.

Plus I wanna get Goldy’s goat and talk about this story: The Democrats complaint against Dino Rossi gets tossed.

Judging from his blog, Goldy will want to talk about Tim Eyman getting tossed from the Yakima City Council meeting.

I do not want to talk about Tim Eyman.

Speaking of radio, has anyone listened to AM1090, Seattle's liberal talk station? FUCK those shows suck and I am a liberal.

Who the fuck listens to the radio at all?

1000x more people read slog than listen to 710 kiro on saturday night.

You could talk about all the so called Progressive Democrats in the legislature that completely pussied out and voted for the Eyman/Gregoire tax handout to the rich.

@3,

Talked about that on last week's installment:

Well I am still pissed about it. All eight of my Kitsap County legislators voted for it and Senator Kilmer actually wrote and introduced the Senate version.

In three years he went from being a DFA, Progressive Majority candidate to introducing and passing Tim Eyman's crappy bill. Thanks Derek!

Josh,

The 11th LD Doesn't have any of West Seattle in it! Redistricting put all of W.S. in the 34th. Just an FYI

Why didn't they shoot Eyman? That's what I want to know ... or at least use a couple rounds of tasers on him ...

I love Thom Hartman and Rachel Maddow. And Ring of Fire and the religion shows on the weekend. And the Atheist show on the weekend.

Other than that, they're not my cup of tea.

@ 7 : My thoughts exactly. Hartmann is the man.

The worst is that moderate hillbilly Schultz that comes on after him. What a fucking tool.

IT seems like the rest of the shows are designed with this principal in mind:

Well, NPR voices are just too alienating for swing voters. Lets inject some vitriole and hyperbole into our progressive radio rpogramming. Thus: Stephanie Miller.

It's like they wanted to create some gateway drug to NPR for Howard Stern's audience or something.
