I've turned on to books at the library for two reasons. 1) I currently don't have the storage space for a bunch of books (never did, really, but I managed) and 2) new fiction and non-fiction is almost $40 a pop now.
So, I've waited for the new Christopher Hitchens since its release months ago. I think originally I was number 538 in queue. I've since moved up to the 300's somewhere.
By the way, the library is a pretty good resource for CDs, too. You know, when you really only want one or two tracks which are unavailable from online vendors.
May want to fix that $2 a barrel thing. Oil hasn't been that cheap since about 1897.
Man, I really need to stop drinking first thing in the morning. Thanks for the heads up DalBando.
I used to go to the library every Saturday as it was a good resource for opera dvds. Now I work at a video store and school is in full swing so videos come from work and the only library I visit is the university's for work.
On another note...John Waters' - This Filthy World just came out on DVD...I recommend it if only for the great behind-the-scenes anecdotes (for the fans).
I think it's Texas 'Tea'
Schumer had some insightful comments on waterboarding/torture back in 2004:
How is it that the girl with 8 limbs didn't make the news?

Re: Dems cave to Bush and destroy everything good and decent (again).
Wow, it's like DiFi, Schumer, Lieberman, etc., are just openly daring us to dump their bullet-ridden carcasses in the ocean somewhere.
Think that's crazy? Well, they never found Jimmy Hoffa...
Thanks for posting the John Waters clip. I recently found it again on YouTube. It brings back great memories for me of when I used to go to the Uptown Theater in Minneapolis (part of Seattle's Landmark movie chain). They always showed that trailer, and I looked forward to it! (and I don't smoke....)
Library use - guilty! I've got 30 items on hold currently, 4 of which are DVDs that I personally got them to buy via web Purchase Requests. And in the past month I've submitted new Requests for 11 new DVD sets, a mix of U.S. and UK TV shows. One of my other Hold items is a CD set with 60 people in front of me and only one copy; if each person keeps it out for 2 weeks, I'll finally be getting it somewhere around 2010. I've gotten into the habit of routinely cruising bookstores and DVD racks for new items to add to the list. I figure that I'm paying taxes for it, and might as well use it.
I love my "A Date With John Waters" CD!
HA! Big thanks, Bradley!
