There should be, and this should win.

Runner-up: This one, featuring Mork as an soulful musical cowboy hobo.

Holy crap. Just when I thought it couldn't get any more horrible, they brought in Guttenberg. Incredible. Who needs waterboarding when our country is pumping out prime-grade stuff like this?

Posted by Levislade | November 14, 2007 9:40 AM

OK. When does this come out? :D I miss Guttenberg!

There is something admirable about your love for trash.

I am now a dumber person for having just seen that.

My suicidal tendencies just resurfaced.

Its like a mix of Uptown Girls and Cadet Kelly.... Which I've totally never seen....

Posted by Amelia | November 14, 2007 10:03 AM

why do they keep giving the bimbo acting jobs? did her pedophile dad produce it?

Posted by dirty girl | November 14, 2007 10:04 AM

Anyone remembe Private Benjamin?

Goldie Hawn's original body parts must be spinning in their grave right now!

Total rip off. And yes, I will go see it.

I think I can actually feel my brain cells dying.

Posted by SDA in SEA | November 14, 2007 10:18 AM

Yeah Private Benjamin from A-Z. Nothing new coming out of Hollywood.

Posted by Sargon Bighorn | November 14, 2007 10:30 AM

Yeah, "Private Benjamin", with a large soupcon of "Stripes" thrown in as well (both of which of course owe considerable nods to the 1941 Abbott & Costello comedy "Buck Privates", and the Lewis Seiler directed "You're In The Army Now".)

Posted by COMTE | November 14, 2007 10:40 AM

It *IS* like a mix of Uptown Girls and Cadet Kelly ... both of which I've seen a few times.

Posted by Ailema | November 14, 2007 10:44 AM

i kept looking, but i never saw pauly shore in the trailer. hoping for a cameo.

Posted by the weasal | November 14, 2007 10:47 AM

The Masons haven't given up on Guttenberg yet, eh?

Posted by spencer | November 14, 2007 10:47 AM

Looks bad, but at least she joins the service for the same reason as the rest of us.

Posted by niche | November 14, 2007 10:47 AM

no, it is legally blond, again. only this time, its, soldier blond?

regardless, is there a full metal jacket ending? the after-basic consequences of being in the army these days? yeah i didnt think so. basic can be conquered by a winsome smile. and then you live happily ever after.

Posted by clausti | November 14, 2007 10:50 AM

I didn't know they showed previews for straight to DVD movies...

Posted by jewritto | November 14, 2007 10:56 AM

Are they touting this as a remake of "Private Benjamin?"

Posted by Bauhaus | November 14, 2007 11:09 AM

I would pay $10 to see Jessica Simpson step on an IED.

Posted by Fnarf | November 14, 2007 11:16 AM

Compare pictures of Robin Williams as the singing cowboy and Bono as Ken Kesey. Eerily similar, hmm?

Posted by Greg | November 14, 2007 11:20 AM

...but "Private Benjamin" had PJ Soles.

Posted by Andy | November 14, 2007 11:30 AM

You mean The Stonecutters, right?

Posted by COMTE | November 14, 2007 12:26 PM

What a brilliant recruiting tool.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers damn!

Cherri Oteri is in it! and hunktastic Travis Schuldt

Maybe I'll see it if it is free someday.

I weep for our culture.

Posted by sam | November 14, 2007 2:45 PM

Yeah, that hurt. The fact that it has the line, "I just threw up in my mouth a little" should tell you everything you need to know about this movie.

I wonder if it will end with her going to Iraq and getting blown up?

Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen!

OMG! Look what you have done with that horrid clip: you have turned me into a bible thumper, because all I could think to do was pray to god to make the evil stop!!!
