France’s parliament has passed a new bill that introduces tighter curbs on foreigners hoping to join relatives in France - including possible DNA tests.

The controversial bill was passed in both the country’s National Assembly and in the Senate.

Not exactly what I would call the gate of Gattaca, but props for bringing it up, because I love that movie and often forget about it. One of the best scores, too.

What's the big deal? If you have no papers and want to prove a family relation, DNA is a pretty good way to do it.

Just watched 'Gattaca' for the first time since it came out ten years ago. Tremendous. Maybe the most underrated great film of the last decade.
