You better run for your life if you can, little boy
Hide your head in the sand little boy
Catch you with another man
That's the end'a little boy
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na
Na, na, na

Nah, that would never work

Or as the Marie Antoinette of American politics [Bill Buckley] once said: "Thinking Paul McCartney is gay is merely wishful." Or maybe he said "synecdoche". Would someone so inbred nelly even use the G word?

Hey Dan - are you still in transit avoiding nasty restrooms at O'Hare?

I'm of the 3:44 Alaska flight back to Seattle and you're more than welcome to join me in the Delta's O'Hare Crown Room.

You might consider getting a membership to at least one airline lounge: wine & beer are typical free and the restrooms are at least better than those in the terminal. There's a higher quality of eye-candy too. What's not to like?

Does anyone else find it stupid that they try and find any possible credit for McCartney and Lennon that isn't the Beatles?

the "Imagine" star, and the "Dance Tonight" star. How about, "the former Beatle"?

Its so bizarre that this item is popping up all over the web today. Anyone who is seriously interested in Lennon's life should read the book published in the 1980's by his childhood best friend Pete Shotton, variously titled "The Beatles, Lennon, and Me" and "John Lennon in My Life". Its a fun view, from way way inside, of Lennon and the rise and fall of the Beatles. The hot tidbit is that Lennon admits to letting gay Beatles manager Brian Epstein "toss him off" during a much gossiped-about vacation trip they took together; Pete's reaction is "what's a wank between friends?". Otherwise, Lennon was rabidly hetero.

It's strange that the Beatles still annoy some in the generation that followed their fame. It reminds me of how when I was a kid I would mock my grandfather when he listened to his Big Band music from the 30's and 40's. it was not until my late 20s or so that I realized how good Big Band music sounds. The thing with the anti-Beatles stuff is likely also generational. People who denounce the Beatles in order to fit in may one day grow to appreciate their music like I grew to enjoy Glenn Miller.

Right, the way Pete Doherty isn't gay. Which is the one where you screw your band mate and sing depressing break up songs to each other, then run off with a moron.

I missed The Beatles' angst. I have to make do with The Libertines.

"Run For Your Life" was actually written by George Harrison.

Aside from not overdosing on heroin (yet) and nailing supermodels, does Pete Doherty actually have a talent?

@12, I was with you all the way until you hit "Glen Miller." Glen Miller? Glen Miller? Eeeeeeew.

I mean, heck, Guy Lombardo, okay, but Glen Miller?
