More Last Suppers

posted by on September 28 at 10:56 AM

The Catholic League is boycotting Miller Beer over the now-infamous poster for the Folsom Street Fair. I wonder if they’re planning to go after The Tonight Show, John Travolta, Paris Hilton, Carrie Fisher, Pam Dawber, the estate of the “late great John Ritter,” and other celebs over their support and for “juxtaposition artist” Nelson De La Nuez. He’s the artist responsible for this little bit of sacrilege…

More examples of Nelson De La Nuez sacrilegious art can be found here and here.

More last suppers…

Donkey Kong’s last supper:

Uh, some guy’s last supper:

I await the announcement of the Catholic League’s boycotts of pasta, pizza, Donkey Kong, George Carlin, fury fetishism, etc.

UPDATE:

Dan,
When are you going to do the Stranger Staff last supper photo? I bet Erica would make a smokin' Jesus.

Dan - I second @1's suggestion about a Stranger version. However, I am a bit concerned about your obsessive behavior the past few days regarding Last Supper photos.

I think the catholic church has had an unspoken ban on George Carlin since the start of his career

This is why you should have gone on TV. This whole series would have been compelling on CNN. Make sure you create some flash cards before the next showdown.

Has anybody from the Catholic League EVER been to San Francisco? They really need to know how to pick their fights better.
People are yawning or laughing at them in the bay area.

Is the Sand Art from Puerto Vallarta?
We have an artist here in Vallarta that does similar stuff?

(Oh and I said I was shutting up but I'm kind of addicted!!)

This is so done Dan and you know it. You sealed this deal when you refused to go on FOX news to argue this matter @ 4:30 AM, even though you were--as you said--up at 4:00 AM that morning. You passed on your chance to make your point, which makes this all even more totally done.

Folsom's Last Supper needs to be on next week's cover.

Yeah, you have a point here. I'm going to write the Catholic League and suggest they look at your list of Last Suppers and drop their silly protest.

Images hateful to Christians warm my heart. Please put one of your anti-Christian images on next weeks cover.

Speaking of images. That swastika building in San Diego that is so hurtful to the Jewish people, has anyone checked google earth to make sure there are no accidental swastika's in Washington State? The anti-defamation league would want to know about them. As a Jew I feel the swastika should be banned.
