i use to think alt-country was lynyrd skynyrd, than i thought it was johny cash and then i thought it was neko case and the new pornographers, now i just dont know.

what about rockabilly?

I love rockabilly and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Neither one is alt country.

@1 I believe the "Driveby Truckers" are alt-country, although I could be wrong. Just listen to KEXP on a Thursday or Friday between 6-9 and you're bound to hear some alt-country, and odds are they'll announce the fact that it's alt-country so you'll be sure.
