“What was the Question again?”

posted by on August 18 at 0:05 AM

Check out Dave Reichert on whether a pharmacist has the right to refuse to serve customers. This is from a 2006 debate between Reichert and Darcy Burner .

Watch the whole video. Right up to the end when Reichert asks James Vesely to repeat the question.

Somebody should repeat the question in 2008. And demand an explanation this time.

Just saying.

Pretty pathetic isn't it.

I'm confused. Why is Leslie Nielsen debating Darcy Burner?

I'm not too surprised that he didn't offer an explanation but I am surprised that he seemed to have Bush level smirk on his face when he said it. You'd think he might try to weasel out of answering that and be a bit more defensive...

Um, please look at the page in Firefox/Mozilla. I think there's a layout error from a missing tag...

birth control pills were prescribed by my doctor years ago as a solution for the symptoms of endometriosis. because they were "birth control pills" the insurance that i had at the time didn't recognize the rx for a discount, even though they were prescribed for something completely unrelated to family planning.

darcy burner is correct in her assessment that prescription solutions should be between a dr and a patient. when a pharmacist (or insurance company) uses faith or moral grounds as a reason to practice medicine without a license by choosing to recognize what prescriptions will be filled... overriding a medical doctor's professional decision... the patient is the one who suffers.

I'd like to hear an explanation from Novella Carpenter, my all-time favorite Stranger contributor. You should look her up; she split Seattle and is off to amazing things last I heard. I hope she still comes back to visit Shelton once in awhile. She may be around the NW for all I know. There's noone like her, so prepare yourself to be dragged if you try hopping on the bandwagon. She'll certainly extend a hand though.

Slog is normally goofy in Firefox on a Mac. I've suffered in silence for years.

That Reichert. What a piece of furniture that one is, huh?

Mr. Feit,
For purposes of your 1040, do you declare any income from the Darcy Burner campaign? It is acceptable to post stories like this as in-kind donations.

Reichert is all but incapable of forming complex sentences. Thus the one word answer without any explanation. But damn, he has great hair, doesn't he?

Remind me again -- why couldn't Darcy Burner crush him like a bug? What's wrong with her anyway?
